Fraser and Coral Coast

When you think Fraser Coast you think Fraser Island – the World Heritage-listed largest sand island on earth. 

Abundant bird, fish and wildlife, rainforest, crystal-clear lakes, sandy beaches, nature unspoiled and at its best. The sheltered waterways of the Great Sandy Strait are home to turtles, dolphins and dugongs and are ideal for sailing, swimming.

Maryborough has a restored wharf precince and spectacular ‘Queenslander’ homes – a heritage delight. 

The South Burnett region, just to the north west of Brisbane has fantastic scenic drives, produce, historic towns and National Parks. Bunya Mountains has a stand of rare pine rainforest, waterfalls, spectacular birdlife and easy walking trails. Visit local wineries and markets – the produce of South Burnett is well worth stopping to sample.

The Coral Coast is located north of Maryborough and south of Rockhampton. Explore miles of secluded coastline, four-wheel drive, fish, golf, and snorkel; enjoy an endless variety of natural attractions. Mon Repos Beach is the largest and most accessible loggerhead turtle rookery in the South Pacific.  Picnic at Kinkuna National Park or Moore Park  Beach.  Take a tour on a amphibious vehicle at the township of 1770. 

Bundaberg (four hours drive north of Brisbane) is the first point of entry to the Southern Great Barrier Reef.  It is a leading regional city and has many attractions as well as great accommodation, shopping and entertainment.  Visit the famous Bundaberg Rum distillery or try Bundaberg Brewed Ginger Beer.  Bundaberg Coach Tours have a fantastic range of tours  to  many  popular destinations  all around  Australia and they offer great value for money.
