Welcome to Northern Territory
Litchfield National Park lies approximately 130km's southwest of Darwin (about a 90 minute drive) near the town of Batchelor and covers around 1,500 sq km's. Batchelor a township widley known as the gateway to Litchfield National Park also has it's own unique attractions - travellers can stay overnight while day-trippers can refuel, get supplies or grab a meal.
Litchfield National Park is the ideal choice for an adventurous day trip or extended visit. Together with stunning tropical waterfalls, swimming holes, monsoon rainforests, intriguing magnetic termite mounds, amazing rock formations and historical sights this is a truly beautiful destination.
Sealed roads allow easy access all year round, with 4-wheel drive enthusiasts enjoying off-road options to less-frequented attractions such as The Lost City and Tjaynera Falls. Visitors can join a traditional Wagait owner to learn about the ancient Aboriginal culture of Litchfield, or visit Blyth Homestead to get a taste of the remarkable pioneering and pastoral heritage of this region.
Adelaide River has real Outback Station style accommodation at Mt Bundy Station.
Litchfield National Park has no admission fees however, if you want to stay overnight camping fees do apply.
