New South Wales 

New South Wales is a microcosm of Australia’s great diversity. Within its borders are rugged outback landscapes,  ski fields, lush subtropical rainforest, majestic rivers and magnificent sandy beaches. Sydney, the oldest and largest city in the country has one of the world’s most beautiful harbours. To its west lie the Blue Mountains. North are the townships and sandy surf beaches of the Central Coast, Newcastle and also The Hunter Valley – home to some of Australia’s world class wineries.  The North Coast and Northern River regions are a mix of lush rainforest and winding rivers.  Lord Howe Island - one of the most beautiful islands in the Pacific is off the coast of N.S.W.  South of Sydney explore the Southern Highlands and The Sapphire Coast. Inland visit ‘Capital Country’ – Canberra, or ski the slopes of the Snowy Mountains.  Central and Outback NSW have fossicking, caves and a stark arid landscape. Sample produce in the  the Riverina or hire a houseboat and explore The Murray as it winds between the New South Wales and Victorian borders.
