The new Royal Flying Doctor Service Tourist Centre is open every day so you can see the action as it happens. Located inside the Base at Broken Hill Airport you can visit the RFDS aircraft in the hangar. Take a guided tour around the Base itself, explore the fascinating Mantle of Safety Museum, watch a film about the history of the Service and shop for unique souvenirs.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service is the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisation in the world. During your visit to the Broken Hill Centre you can talk to people who work for the RFDS and learn more about the remarkable 80 year history of this iconic Australian Service.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service is a charitable organisation and relies on the generosity of the community to continue its life-saving work.  All proceeds from admissions and shop sales go directly towards the purchase of new aircraft and vital medical equipment.
