Welcome to Coodardie Station Stay!

So much more than accommodation...Coodardie Station Stay is an experience. The opportunity to have a 'real life experience' on a working Australian Outback cattle station.

You will share the station's homestead and find out all about the O'Brien families holistic grazing practices.

If you want to truly get to the heart of the outback, you need to stay with people who live on the land and can interpret the interplay between landscape, wildlife and tradition.

Get up close with iconic Brahman cattle, share superb meals (included in the tariff) with Clair and Mike and their family, and after a few days, come away with a rare insight into a very different way of life. You'll love the guest rooms here – two have wonderful rotunda-like design with 180-degree louvre windows out to the view and deck.

The pace is relaxed here and entirely determined by you. There is plenty of time to relax on the wide veranda and survey the exquisite red-earthed bushland. You can go to Mataranka's thermal pools, fish for the Barramundi that thrive in the Roper River region and explore Elsey National Park. You'll discover that living in the landscape and learning about indigenous culture and the outback lifestyle first-hand is the only way to truly get a feel for this extraordinary part of Australia.

You will find Coodardie only 422km south of Darwin, around a 5 hour drive.

The O'Brien family will be there to welcome you with their genuine Ouback hospitality!
