Welcome to Oysta la Vista and Oysta la Vista Too!

Just over 2 hours’ drive (200kms) from Adelaide, Stansbury is located on Oyster Bay and nestled between Port Vincent and Edithburgh on the eastern coast of Yorke Peninsula. Stansbury has always been a popular holiday destination with good fishing, crabbing, swimming and snorkeling. It is also famous for its oysters, farmed in oyster beds just off the coast.
From Stansbury, it is only a short drive to Innes National Park with its wonderful wildlife, coastal scenery, natural vegetation, shipwrecks and walking trails. Southern Yorke Peninsula boasts numerous jetties, boat ramps, golf courses, restaurants, country pubs and quaint craft galleries.

Oysta la Vista

Upon entering Oysta la Vista, you will see the large family room with a pool table with 8 ball, Kelly pool and snooker. A kitchenette in the corner has a sink, refrigerator, kettle and toaster and a 2 person café setting provides a place to sit whilst enjoying a coffee. The room has a TV, DVD and VCR and a large collection of movies especially for children as well a games cupboard with numerous board and card games and toys. A split system air conditioner and a ceiling fan keeps the room at a comfortable temperature all year round. Guests also have access to fishing rods and tackle, crabbing nets and rakes and assorted sporting equipment, including a bicycle and helmet. As well as this you will find a bathroom with a double spa, 4 well appointed bedrooms and a laundry.

Heading up the stairs, you enter the air-conditioned lounge, with comfortable seating for 11, including six chairs that can be taken outside to the balcony, accessed by a sliding door. A child safety gate prevents any accidents. The lounge has a home theatre with surround sound. A carousel and book shelf collectively contain over 300 movie titles. Another cupboard contains another 150 videos, including boxed sets of TV favourites. There is a CD player and CD's for guests to enjoy as well as an electronic keyboard. A telescope and comprehensive book and magazine library is provided for guests' use and enjoyment. There is a master bedroom with ensuite and sliding doors out to the balcony.The dining area seats 8 and the kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven, dishwasher, double sink and microwave. It has a host of electrical appliances including a coffee maker,bread maker, rice cooker, slow cooker and wok. There is a full complement of crockery, saucepans, utensils, serving dishes, casserole dishes and cutlery, including an omelette pan and crab pot. Guests are welcomed with provisions for a light breakfast for the first morning.

Guests have the use of a gas barbecue, weber kettle and a six person outdoor setting. From the balcony, there are views of the bay and caravan park and on a clear day, the Adelaide Hills and Kangaroo island are visible.

Oysta la Vista Too

Opened in December 2010, and located alongside Oysta la Vista, Oysta la Vista Too! is more suitable for elderly or lesser mobile guests or those with small children as the main bedroom, kitchen and meals area and two of the three family lounge areas are located downstairs. The house has split system air conditioning on both levels. Child safety gates are installed at both the top and bottom of the stairs.
